Senior Research Analyst David Gibson has tweeted that Nintendo have just acquired something for $100 million, although he has no idea what:
"@Nintendo spends over US$100m on mystery tech acquisition in 4Q, no word on what it is, QOL? new hardware related? unknown"
This being related to Nintendo's QoL (Quality of Life) platform is certainly a possibility, as Gibson suggests in his Tweet, but Nintendo have been tight-lipped at best about QoL since announcing it earlier this year, such that we still don't actually know what it is.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see what this acquisition is and what it relates to, especially after Nintendo quashed new hardware rumours just a few days ago.
