Rumor: Ryse 2 Cancelled as Crytek's Financial Struggle Continues

26th June, 0 replies

Crytek, Microsoft Studios, Ryse: Son of Rome

Latest reports state that Crytek's sequel to Ryse: Son of Rome has definitely been cancelled after talks between the company and Microsoft broke down. Microsoft apparently wanted to purchase the exclusive rights to the property, but Crytek didn't agree to the deal.

This comes just days after we reported on news that the developer is having financial difficulties, and numerous gaming sites like Kotaku are also reporting that staff at the studio aren't being paid.
