Huang Zhong is a general that is best known for his exploits while serving under the Kingdom of Shu, although he first served Liu Biao and then Han Xuan before joining Liu Bei's cause. His name isn't mentioned much in historical records, but he did get covered a lot in the novel. He is described as an older and courageous general that is most known for causing Xiahou Yuan's death at Mt. Ding Jun, as well as a master archer that never misses his mark. He is considered one of Shu's Five Tiger Generals.
He has appeared in plenty of games surrounding the Three Kingdoms era, including the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, Kessen, and Warriors Orochi. His first appearance in the Dynasty Warriors series was in Dynasty Warriors 2, although his weapon until Dynasty Warriors 7 was a dao (or sword), where he would receive a bow as his main weapon. He has appeared in every single Dynasty Warriors game since 2, as well as all of its expansion packs.
