Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness is an upcoming Japanese tactical RPG developed by Nippon Ichi Software for the Playstation 3. Designed to be a direct sequel to Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, the game will follow the main characters of the first game rather than those that appear later in the Disgaea series.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten is a tactical RPG and the fourth installment of the Disgaea series by Nippon Ichi Software. Using turned based combat and the isometric battlefield gameplay from the previous installments, Disgaea 4 includes new features, such as the Magichange system.

Like previous installments, battles are performed on isometric maps with a group of characters. The newly added "magichange" system allows monsters to transform into specific weapons in which a partner can use to execute a strong technical attack.
