Lautrec of Carim is a knight and follower of the goddess Fina in Dark Souls. He is found imprisoned on the top floor of the Undead Parish church, past the Zombies and Channeler, and requires the Mystery Key to be freed. Once freed, he will appear in Firelink Shrine and can be called to assist the player in fighting the Bell Gargoyles and Gaping Dragon.
Forsaking everything for the love of the goddess Fina, Lautrec cares little for those around him and feels little gratitude for the players help in his rescue. On a mission of some importance, he kills the Fire Keeper of Firelink Shrine, Anastacia of Astora, and can be confronted as a Spirit of Vengeance in Anor Londo.
