These are the items found in Donkey Kong Country.
- Banana - gathering 100 gives an extra life. There are ten bananas in a Banana Bunch.
- Barrels - can be picked up and thrown to defeat enemies or find hidden bonus areas.
- DK Barrel - break to free your Kong buddy (Donkey or Diddy, depending on which one you're currently using). If you have control of both Kongs already, DK Barrels are used like standard barrels.
- Extra Life Balloons - grants an extra life.
- KONG Letters - collecting all four letters in a level earns an extra life.
- Tire - used to bounce on to reach high areas or secret bonus areas. Can also be pushed and rolled to a specific location.
- Animal Token - collecting three tokens of the same type takes to player to a bonus level of that specific animal.
- Mine Cart - used to ride in by the player in certain levels.
