Donkey Kong Country is a platform video game developed by Rare and originally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System on November 21, 1994 and was later ported to the Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance and Wii Virtual Console. It was the first Donkey Kong game not produced or directed by Shigeru Miyamoto, the character's original creator; instead, it was produced by Tim Stamper, although Miyamoto was still involved with the project. Composer David Wise provided the game's soundtrack.
In this game, Donkey Kong and his nephew Diddy Kong must recover the stolen bananna hoard from King K. Rool and his Kremlings. They embark on an adventure throughout the island meeting many friends and various foes along the way.
