Van Grants
Vandesdelca Musto Fende, better known as Van Grants, is the Commandant of the Oracle Knights within the Order of Lorelei, serving as the commander of the God-Generals. Van is the primary antagonist of Tales of the Abyss. He is also Luke's sword instructor and mentor.

Grand Maestro Mohs
Mohs is Grand Maestro of the Order of Lorelei, second in rank only to the Fon Master. However, due to the Order being divided among factions, there are those who favor Mohs over Ion, resulting in his influence over the Order

Luke fon Fabre
Luke is the only son of a Duke of the Kingdom of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. He lost all memory of his childhood due to the shock of being kidnapped. Since his return he has been a prisoner in his own palace, but his family's wealth has kept him in comfort, leaving him spoiled and naïve. His only hobby is practicing with his sword, and, though he lacks refinement, he does posses some skill.

Tear Grants
Tear is a Seventh Fonist in the military wing of the Order of Lorelei, the religion overseeing the Score. She lost both parents when she was still an infant, and has been raised as a warrior ever since. She is staid and silent, giving her a cold air, but she has a secret weak spot for cute things. A certain incident leads to her joining with Luke on his adventure.

Jade Curtiss
Jade is a colonel in the Malkuth Empire's military. He is both a skilled fonist and a master of the spear. He always smiles, so no one knowns what he is truly thinking. He is known to be the right-hand man to the Malkuth Emperor, Peony, but he is also known among those in the military as "Jade the Necromancer."

Anise Tatlin
Always cheerful and happy, Anise is a Fon Master Guardian, charged with personally protecting Fon Master Ion, the leader of the Order of Lorelei. The stuffed doll, Tokunaga, that she keeps strapped to her back can grow to gargantuan size, and she fights while riding on its back. She hopes to marry rich, and ever since meeting Luke she has been plotting to become his future duchess.

Guy Cecil
Guy is a servant in the Fabre household. He was first taken on as a babysitter, and ever since then, Guy has been like both a brother and a parent to the palace-bound Luke. He is uncomfortable around women, so his kind words to them often lead to awkward situations.

Natalia Lanvaldear
Natalia is the princess of the Kindom of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. She is haughty and arrogant, but at the same time, as a member of the royal family she is concerned for her subjects and for her country. She is proficient with a bow, and difficult situations bring out the true strength of her will. Natalia is engaged to Luke, and their life-long friendship allows her to freely criticize him for his lapses in judgment.

Fon Master Ion
Fon Master Ion is the highest leader in the Order of Lorelei, a neutral theocracy currently trying to calm the power struggle between the kingdom of Kimlasca and Malkuth Empire. He is the only one who can read the Closed Score and unlock Yulia's seal.

Mieu
Mieu is a young cheagle. Cheagles, considered holy by the Order of Lorelei, normally live in herds in the forest, but fate will bring him to join Luke and the others on their adventure. The Sorcerer's Ring that he wears around his tummy allows him to use human speech, and he can use the ring's fonic power to breathe fire.

Largo the Black Lion, once known as Badaq Oakland, is a major antagonist in Tales of the Abyss, as well as one of the Six God-Generals and leader of the shock troops in the Oracle Knights.

Arietta the Wild
Arietta the Wild is a major antagonist in Tales of the Abyss. She is one of the only God-Generals not known to operate under an assumed name, as well as the only one without a past she wishes to conceal.

Legretta the Quick
The God-General Legretta the Quick is a major antagonist in Tales of the Abyss who once taught Tear Grants. Legretta is one of the most trusted subordinates of Van Grants. She is shown carrying out his most intricate operations, and occasionally gives commands to the other God-Generals, serving specifically as Adjutant Commandant.

Sync the Tempest
Sync the Tempest is a major antagonist, Chief of Staff, and tactical leader of the Six God-Generals in Tales of the Abyss. He is one of seven replicas of the original Fon Master Ion, disgarded by the Order when his powers did not match the Original Fon Master.

Dist the Reaper
Dist the Reaper is a major antagonist in Tales of the Abyss. Within the Order of Lorelei, he holds the ranks of Conductor and Locrian Colonel, and is the Commander of the 2nd Division.

Asch the Bloody is a God-General and the commander of special operations of the Order of Lorelei. He fits the role of anti-hero in Tales of the Abyss.
