UNLOCK WORLD 9
In order to unlock World 9, Superstar Road, you need to complete the game having collected all Star Coins from Worlds 1 through 8.
SAVE GAME ANY TIME
Whenever you complete the main game for the first time, Quick Save will be replaced by Save, allowing you to save anytime on the overworld. Beforehand, it was only possible to save after completing certain stages.
PROPELLER/PENGUIN POWERUPS
First, you must unlock World 9, Superstar Road. Once you do that, go to the Toad Houses in that world to find the Propeller Hat and Penguin Suit powerups.
STARS ON SAVE FILE
There are stars that appear on your save file, of which there are five. Note that once you get all five stars, you will be able to repeatedly visit Toad Houses in that file without them becoming inactive. You can get them as follows:
- Beat the final boss
- Collect every Star Coin from Worlds 1-8
- Complete every level and find every exit from Worlds 1-8
- Collect every Star Coin in World 9 (Superstar Road)
- Catch Nabbit once in Worlds 1-7
