Flying Squirrel Mario is new power-up for New Super Mario Bros. U that's obtained with a Super Acorn. With this ability Mario can glide and cling to walls, it's fairly similar to Cape Mario from Super Mario World. Additionally, you can perform an air jump while gliding by shaking the Wii U GamePad.
