Thomas Was Alone is a puzzle platformer game created by Mike Bithell for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Linux, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Bithell came up with the concept for the game during a personal 24-hour game jam while working at Blitz Games in October 2010.
The game is based on friendship, with the player controlling multiple coloured blocks - each with different abilities. Each block embodies a different out-of-control artificial intelligence entity, and they must work together to solve puzzles.
