The Soldier is your good all-round ranged grunt which can also propel itself high into the air using his rocket jump for superior positioning or to gain access to higher parts of levels.

The Soldier's other abilities include an RPG-like rocket strike, and the ability to throw a smoke grenade to provide cover.
