EverQuest Next Landmark is a separate release from EQ Next, scheduled to release later in 2013, and will be free-to-play. Landmark is the sculpting tools that the developers of EQ Next use to create the land, buildings, and other things in the world. It will allow players to explore the lands of Norrath, gather materials and then use said materials to craft whatever they want. The general gameplay will be somewhat similar to Minecraft.
Players, when they begin, will be able to make a claim to any area they want and that is where they can start building. They will have to explore the land to try and find materials, such as underground areas to find rarer materials.

Player Studio
Player Studio is Sony Online Entertainment's marketplace for player-created goods, and it will be in Landmark. As players create content using Landmark, they can save that item and then put it up on Player Studio. Another player can then purchase that item with real-world money and then use it in their own creations. That person who bought the item and used it in their creation, can turn around and place their item up on Player Studio and if someone buys it, the first player will get a royalty fee.
EverQuest Next Connection
Periodically, the dev team behind EQ Next will host contests for an actual in-game item that will make it into the game. These items will have a specific idea, like a throne room in a dungeon or in a castle, for example. The winners of these contests will have their items as permanent fixtures in EverQuest Next, along with their names.
