The gameplay is pretty much similar to that of a beat-em-up. However, there are other elements of this game that make this game an exciting experience. From more than one story branch, the player can choose from to improving the skills of each character per battle, this game provides more than one way to play to keep the player wanting more.
General Gameplay
The world in the game almost perfectly resembles that of the real Akihabara district. You can allow your character to run around in this open world and visit about 130 different shops that this district offers. You can buy new merchandise to increase your character's stats from these stores.
Missions
Your character will receive missions to patrol areas, fight groups of vampires, and even encounter bosses. There are also optional side missions that the character can fulfill to obtain items, money, and even experience.
Story and Dialog
The player has the choice of choosing certain dialog that their main character says. This can help control the path of the story as well as help justify what type of personality your character has. The player can even decide which two characters the main character can partner up with in battle.
Fighting System
The player is able to pick a fight with any person they see on the street, whether they are an actual enemy or an innocent person. The goal of these fights is to strip your enemies of their clothing. You have to perform a certain amount of combos and attacks aiming for certain articles of clothing your enemies are wearing. The weaker the clothing, the easier it will be for your character to strip them away.

Partners
When entering battles, the main character will be partnered up with one of two other characters: Touko Sagisaka or Shizuku Tokikaze. While you are fighting with enemies, your partner will be fending off a few of their own. At the top left of the screen, you will see a picture of your partner along with a gauge.
Every hit you land on an enemy fills up this gauge. When the gauge fills up, you and your partner will be able to perform a powerful combo attack on an enemy that may end up with both of you stripping away all of the clothing of that enemy.
Stamina
At the bottom left are three gauges that represent the stamina of your articles of clothing: headwear, tops, and bottoms. You can replenish the health of these items during battle. They only appear when your character is in fighting mode, though.
Leveling Up
The more your character fights, the more your character levels up their clothes-stripping skills. They would be able to weaken the clothes of the vampires more easily as well as strip them more easily.
Battle Results
After your character and partner wins the battle, they can obtain the articles of clothing that their enemies wore. The shops aren't the only place your characters can obtain merchandise. Your characters also receive money to buy merchandise from the stores available.
Customization
The player is able to customize Nanashi with many different pieces of clothing, some of which he can get from enemies and some that he will need to purchase from stores. Things he can equip are weapons, hats, clothing like a shirt, pants and shoes, as well as other accessories. Once the player clears a certain sidequest, he will even be able to wear women's clothing.
