From all the videos I've seen, the combat in this game seems to be one of the best combat systems in a game. -
As far as I could tell, it seemed that Rocksteady was still interested in the franchise, at least for one more game. They were talking about how the next game in the series was more likely to be a prequel last I heard. -

The system is super simplified so you don't have a bunch of minor trivial differences between moves. Instead, each move is used for a very particular situation and the combat revolves around your ability to use the correct move at the correct time. If you choose the wrong move or use it at the wrong time, you're in trouble.
Beyond that, the feel of the combat is entirely appropriate for Batman. It doesn't have the crazy flourishes that AC. In place of that are brutal punches and kicks. You feel like every move is meant for maximum effect and every sound confirms that.
