Cyberpunk 2077 Not Affected by The Witcher 3 Delay

In case you were wondering about the state CD Projekt RED's upcoming next-gen title Cyberpunk 2077, you have no need to worry about another delay following yesterday's news concerning The Witcher 3.

In a statement made to Gamespot, CEO of CD Projekt RED Marcus Iwinski made it clear that, "Cyberpunk 2077 is developed by a separate team within CD Projekt Red, so the development of Cyberpunk 2077 is not really affected." Iwinski further stated that in order to ship The Witcher 3 for the newly announced February 2015 release date, members from Cyberpunk's team will help develop both games. "We are working hard to deliver an outstanding RPG and rest assured, that all the learnings on The Witcher 3 are being applied to the Cyberpunk 2077 development," Iwinski said.

This is excellent news for consumers. CD Projekt RED is practicing great development tactics which will hopefully create a consistency of product between their two internal teams. Their open and honest communication with the public should also be applauded.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. A release date has not been announced at this time.
