Shinji Makami and his team at Tango Gameworks have been working hard to set the bar for survival horror since Makami's essential release of Resident Evil 4. Based on the footage released, there is no question that The Evil Within is taking heavy gameplay influence from the Resident Evil series. Whether that is good news or bad news is yet to be seen.
