The Chancellor is the second-in-command to the Lord of Bones in Darksiders II. Little is known of the Chancellor's past life before he aided the Lord of Bones in usurping the throne from Argul, but he was rewarded with his position for that aid. Though only in command of those who seek an audience with the Undead King, some believe he has his own schemes and craves power for himself.
When Death enters the Land of the Dead he immediately distrust the Chancellor and although he aids Death on his quest, he does so giving as little information as possible.
