DmC: Devil May Cry is an action/adventure title developed by Ninja Theory and published by Capcom for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. The game subsequently received an enhanced port to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Devil May Cry was originally released in 2001. The game began production as Resident Evil 4 but after some time, the developers realized that the game bore little resemblance to a Resident Evil game. Instead, development was shifted to "Team Little Devils" and the game became the Hack n' Slash game Devil May Cry. Since then, the game and the franchise it started have become regarded by many as the example by which other games in the genre are compared.
