Daisy first appeared in Super Mario Land in 1989, which was her only non-spinoff appearance in the Mario series. In it, she is kidnapped by Tatanga, who invades her land of Sarasaland and in the end, she is rescued by Mario.
She has appeared in pretty much all of the spinoff titles, with her first appearance in these being Luigi's caddy in NES Open Tournament Golf. She became a playable character in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, where she was one of the strongest characters, right up there with Donkey Kong.
In the Mario Tennis series, she is a technical character and has been in every game except the Virtual Boy and Game Boy Color versions. She has been a playable character in every Mario Party game since Mario Party 3, with the exception of Mario Party Advance.
Her Mario Kart debut was in Double Dash!!, where she was a medium-weight character, which was echoed in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart DS. She was changed to a lightweight character in Mario Kart 7, however.
In the Baseball series, she was a balanced character, leaning towards the technique side. She was an offensive captain in Super Mario Strikers, but was turned into a defensive one in Mario Strikers Charged. She is playable in Itadaki Street, as well as in the Mario & Sonic Olympic Games.
