NES Open Tournament Golf is a golf game, developed and published by Nintendo for the NES and Nintendo 3DS via Virtual Console. It is the second in the Mario Golf franchise, but unlike the previous game players can now play as Mario or Luigi. All the courses are based around real world courses, which was never done in any of the following games.
In this game, Mario and friends hit the course once again to play in a tournament with human players for the very first time. The graphics have been upgraded for the new release, with significant improvements in gameplay.

Gameplay
Although improved since Golf, NES Open Tournament Golf is still rough around the edges. The biggest gameplay is that when the player takes a shot it covers the whole of the screen.
