- Difficulty: 1/10
- Victory: Carriage reaches the escape point
- Defeat: Carriage is defeated
As you can see from the victory/defeat conditions above, you need to keep an eye on the Carriage at all times. If it's destroyed, then you will fail this battle. Defeat the first two officers in the way and the Carriage will start moving. Not too long into the battle, you will get a report that Diao Chan has been ambushed on the west side of the map. Also, Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei appear in the southeastern corner of the map.
The Carriage will move to the southern gate, which is guarded by Cao Ren. Defeating him will open the gate and make the Carriage move north. After you defeat the next officer in the way (Yu Jin), try and hurry to Diao Chan's aid and defeat the three officers harassing her. This will rescue her and she will aid you in the battle.
By this time, the Carriage will reach the northern gate and Xiahou Yuan will launch an ambush with archers. Quickly make your way back to it and clear the area of the other officers before confronting Xiahou Yuan. Defeating him will also defeat the ambush, as well as open the northern gate. Go after any officers in the area, then the Carriage will start going through the mountain pass.
It's likely that Liu Bei will be approaching from the south, so if he does, take him and his oath brothers out, then continue with the Carriage. The mountain path will slow its speed down a little, but there will not be any ambushes inside the passage itself, so continue ahead and clear the area ahead of enemies. Once you do make it out of the passage the first time, some reinforcements will show up.
Clear them out and then continue along with the Carriage. Once you do make it completely out of the passage, all you have to go is take out Cao Cao to open the final gate to the escape point. When the Carriage passes through the gate, the battle will be complete.
