Begin the stage by going north and following the path going northwest and then east. As you pass through the first encampment, a Messenger will appear to the north of it and you'll have to quickly defeat the officer inside to open the gates. For every garrison the Messenger reaches, their gates will close and you will have to defeat the officers inside to open them.
Once you make it through all three garrisons and into the marked one, you'll meet up with Liu Bei and the second phase of this battle will commence. Liu Bei will go and help out Kong Rong, while you will act as a diversionary force by attacking the main camp.
Go towards where Guan Hai is located, defeating the officers in the way, including Zhang Liao who will show up as reinforcements. As you get close to the main camp, some of the officers on the frontlines will begin moving back to your location, although one or two might remain. Once you clear everyone around the main camp, go and clean up the rest and then meet up with Kong Rong.
When you do meet up with Kong Rong, he'll begin moving towards the escape point in the southeast corner of the map. Once he gets close enough, Lu Bu and Diao Chan will show up. Quickly take them out and when Kong Rong reaches the escape point, the battle will be over.
