You being the battle on the north end of the map. Begin by going towards the middle and try taking out some of the officers there until you get your mission to take out the bandits in the area. Deng Mao is on the west side, while Cheng Yuanzhi is on the east. Defeating them will make them join your side.
Once you take those two out, return to the middle of the map and start killing the rest of the officers there, as they will usually pack themselves in the center. Eventually, some reinforcements will show up for the Han forces, which shouldn't be too much extra work.
Considering the overall difficulty of the stage, you shouldn't have too much trouble taking out the officers, although be extra careful on the higher difficulties. It might be challenging when there are a cluster of officers in the middle of the map. Once you clear them out, start heading towards the main camp, where you need todefeat Zhu Jun to open the gates. All that's left after that is defeating Dong Zhuo to finish.
