Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends Overview
Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends is the expansion standalone title to Dynasty Warriors 7, developed by Omega Force and published by Tecmo Koei. It was released exclusively on the PlayStation 3, despite Dynasty Warriors 7 also appearing on the Xbox 360, as well as bundled in a special package containing both DW7 and Xtreme Legends for PC. The PS3 version was released on September 29, 2011 in Japan, on November 15, 2011 in North America and on November 18, 2011 in Europe. The PC version was only released in Japan on March 9, 2012.
Xtreme Legends follows the past iterations, focusing on Legend Mode, which featured battles that highlighted the characters that either didn't appear in Dynasty Warrior 7's story mode or weren't playable. The game also allowed a Remix option with the original DW7's disc, unlocking the modes available in DW7 as options in this title. It is also the first Xtreme Legends to introduce new characters, with two being completely new and another one returning from Dynasty Warriors 5.
