The Armory System is the name given to the whole class changing system in Final Fantasy XIV. There are four base disciplines, with each one of those being made up of classes. The classes are distinguished by the weapon they equip, making it easy to switch classes just by changing weapons. Classes can be changed at any time outside of battle.
