The Fuel Rod Cannon is the Covenant form of a Rocket Launcher. It is a gas powered launcher that shoots irradiated explosive rounds at the target. The shot is far less straight than the SPNKR rocket launcher and will noticeably curve downward over the course of its flight. It also has the ability to ricochet off of hard flat surfaces like metal walls and floors.
This weapon isn't as powerful as the SPNKR Rocket Launcher but it comes with five shots per clip and shoots more quickly. While it is far weaker to vehicles, it still possesses enough power to deal with most infantry in one or two shots. The standard infantry Fuel Rod Cannon that is carried commonly by Grunts and Elites is a weaker version of those carried by Hunters and afixed to the under side of Banshees.
