The Human Sniper Rifle is a very powerful weapon that is almost on par with the Rocket Launcher. It is capable of killing almost any infantry with a single well placed round to the head. Generally, this will penetrate the shields and hit the enemy, resulting in death. When not so precise, it still only requires two shots anywhere else. It is a much faster firing weapon than its Covenant counterpart, the Beam Rifle.
While it may seem like the primary use is against infantry, it is actually quite effective against vehicles as well. For most vehicles, it can be used to shoot an enemy pilot right out of the cockpit. In cases where the pilot isn't visible, the weapon has very powerful armor piercing rounds that can punch through to a vehicle's most vital components. It can take less than a full clip to destroy most vehicles but it is usually a matter of balance as each shot could be a potential kill against infantry.
