Neptune / Purple Heart is the main character of Hyperdimension Neptunia and the goddess of Planeptune. When she and the other goddesses get in a fight, she is cast down to the planets and loses all memory of being a goddess.

Blanc
Blanc / White Heart is the Goddess of Lowee. Despite her childlike appearance, she if the loudest, most violent, and foul mouth of the Goddesses. Her biggest rivalry is with Vert, mostly because of their differing breast sizes and her constantly being described as flat-chested.

Noire
Noire / Black Heart is the Goddess of Lastation. She likes to be independent and do things without help, but is quite forgiving and fair.
She has a rivalry with Neptune and White Heart and wants to quit being a Goddess.

Vert
Vert / Green Heart is the Goddess of Leanbox. She is intelligent, witty, slightly arrogant, and Neptune describes her as stubborn. She and Blanc / White Heart are constantly at odds, mostly due to their breast sizes.

Compa (Hyperdimension Neptunia)
Compa is a nurse-in-training who wants to help all those in need, no matter who they are. She is often naive and can be quite a crybaby when things go wrong. After she finds an injured Neptune outside of her house one day, she becomes her first friend and ally to help save the world from Arfoire.

IF (Hyperdimension Neptunia)
As a guild member from one of the Basilicoms, IF travels the world to gain a wide range of knowledge. However, her lone travels have made her slightly selfish and very thick-headed. She likes hi-tech tools and is often found typing in her mobile phone.

Nisa
Gamindustri’s self-proclaimed "Keeper of Justice", she appears in times of crisis, which is usual when least expected. Training to become a brave and passionate hero, she seems to lack the skills for gathering information and the strength to ignore comments on her most sensitive areas.

Gust
A young alchemist, she often makes items to sell and help others. She resides in Lastation, where Noire usually comes to her for help, but she often moves around and does things for many people in need of an aid.

A famous singer within the world of Gamindustri, she is described as being very shy and even suffers from agoraphobia. Oddly, she's very confident when she takes the stage.

A young lesbian, Red travels the world in search of a wife, eventually running into IF and declaring her first wife.

Although her true form is a tome, she was able to transform into a fairy-like being when Neptune broke the seal on her. Histoire acts as a guide for Neptune, talking to her in her head and providing her with advice and tutorials.

Arfoire is the main antagonist of the franchise who will not stop until she defeats the Goddesses and takes over Gameindustri once and for all.
