All characters in Rainbow Moon have a set of stats that are important. Strength indicates how strong your attacks are, both normal and skills. Defense indicates how much damage you will take from enemy attacks (Guard, in-battle, will reduce this further). Speed indicates when that character will have their turn in-battle. Luck only affects critical hit chances, and the outcome of the Lottery.
NPCS
There are a variety of NPCs to interact with in the world of Rainbow Moon, from those that give you quests to those that heal your characters and sell you items. The Healer NPC restores your HP and MP, as well as revives any characters that were killed, and even removes status ailments. There are four different shop NPCs. The Item one sells you items that heal your characters, as well as low-tier equipment. The Weapon vendor sells you weapons, while the Armor one will sell you armor, amulets and rings (when those become available). There's a Scroll NPC that sells you spells, expanders (increases inventory space), and Passive skills. The Savant allows you to spend your Rainbow Pearls to increase your stats. The Lottery NPC gives you a chance to win items based on luck; there are different amounts you can pay and four different tiers (C, B, A, and S).
FOOD GAUGE
Something present in Rainbow Moon, which isn't in a lot of other RPGs, is the food gauge. As you walk around and fight battles, your food gauge will eventually drop. As it reaches a certain point, your character will get the Hungry status. If the food gauge reaches 0, then that character will gradually begin losing HP. You replenish the food gauge by eating food, which can be acquired from finding it on the field, buying it from the Item Shop, or creating some using the Fruit Rain skill.
