The Bony Beetle is the undead version of the Buzzy Beetle, that is able to retract and protrude the spikes on its back at will. This means it can be dangerous to use Jump stickers on it when the spikes are out. Its only attack is to have its spikes out and then slamming into Mario. It only appears in 5-5: Rugged Road and 5-6: Rumble Volcano.
