From battles to exploring the world, everything in Sticker Star revolves around stickers. Mario can acquire stickers everywhere, peeling them from the environment around him, as well as buying and selling them from shops.
"Things"
Most notably, Thing Stickers can be created by collecting "Things," everyday objects found in the game world that resemble realistically household or common objects like pairs of scissors or sponges. These Things can be made into Thing Stickers at the Decalburg "Sling a Thing" attraction. Thing Stickers can be used in battle but also have specific functions in puzzle settings. For example, a fan sticker can summon a giant desk fan into the world and blow away debris, or a jackhammer sticker can break up tough rocks. Mario's use of these is essential to progression through the game, and each can be found limitlessly in a specific location, but Mario can only have one of each type of thing on his person at a time.
Sticker Spots
While Paperizing, a skill ofKersti's Mario can see outlines for spots where stickers are able to be placed. Often these are large spots for Thing Stickers, but regular stickers can be used in some places as well to make secret boxes appear, often times containing an upgraded version of the sticker used to summon them.
