Paper Mario: Sticker Star Characters List

Mario is the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom who is now saddled with the responsibility of once again rescuing Peach, finding the six Royal Stickers, and returning the Sticker Fest to its former glory.

Kersti is a guardian of the Sticker Star who helps Mario find the Royal Stickers by allowing him to "Paperize" the world around him. This ability lets Mario jump out of reality and peel away frayed or misplaced details of his surroundings, rotating and moving them into a proper position so he can proceed. Kersti also allows him to use the Battle Spinner in fights. Additionally, she acts as an area guide for Mario, much like Goombario and Goombella in prior games.

Princess Peach was to be the hostess of the Sticker Fest before Bowser crashed the party, but now that she is again in his clutches, Mario must find save her.

Toads inhabit the Mushroom Kingdom, but also Decalburg and the surrounding areas in Sticker Star. Their tendency to leave town and become caught in harrowing situations often requires Mario to come to their rescue.

Bowser, having acquired the six Royal Stickers, delegates them to his underlings and runs off with Peach once again. Mario's quest to save her and the Sticker Star are fraught with cleaning up much of Bowser's mess across the countryside. Having placed reality-warping Bowser Tape across various zones, Bowser's cohorts have made Mario's pursuit of them considerably more difficult.

Kamek is Bowser's faithful wizard aide who repeatedly gets in Mario's way. In addition to fighting him, he also creates complex roadblocks in Mario's path. His latest schtick is to turn Mario's stickers into flip-flops during battle, causing all of them to deal minimal damage.

Bowser's youngest son is a persistent foe of Mario's, barring his path continually throughout Sticker Star. Each time Mario fights Bowser Jr., he has a new trick up his sleeve, usually requiring specific sticker types to be defeated.

Luigi is Mario's younger brother who hides throughout the game in a sidequest. He is as such a very minor character, likely on purpose to highlight his gag-like existence as the Mario series' whipping boy. When Luigi has been found, the player can Paperize and peel him out of hiding, unlocking news articles about his appearances in Decalburg.
