Stickers are used for everything in Sticker Star, from battles to exploration. There are quite a few ways that Mario can acquire these Stickers, from peeling them from the environment, to winning them from battles and even just buying them from a shop.
In battles, Mario needs a sticker for every attack he does, and when he does attack, he will lose the sticker he uses. This adds a strategy element to battles, as you do not want to waste all of your high-power attack stickers on regular monsters.
At first, Mario will only have two pages in which he can store Stickers. As you progress through the story, you will gain more room for sticker storage. This adds another later of strategy, as you will want high-power stickers for battle, but you will also need room for other stickers.
The following levels are where you will get an upgrade to the Sticker Album:
- World 1-3
- World 1-6
- World 2-5
- World 3-12
- World 4-6
- World 5-6
Stickers come in various sizes, with the smallest being 1x1 and the largest being 2x2. A single page is able to hold up to a maximum of 15 small stickers. Stickers are also divided into seven different categories, according to strength, which are:
- Worn-Out
- Normal
- Shiny
- Flashy
- Big
- Big Shiny
- Megaflash
