XCOM: Enemy Unknown - Assault

Assault troops are your standard soldiers; good at general open warfare and base infiltration, as well as the ability, later in the game, to flush out enemies.

Assault troops have two main weaknesses: their standard weapon is a Shotgun, which makes them very short range. They are also easily overwhelmed by alien ambushes.
