XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a turn-based strategy game developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS. The game is a re-imagining of the classic PC strategy game, UFO: Enemy Unknown, that introduces a new story and gameplay.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown puts the player in control of an elite multinational military organisation called XCOM, which is tasked with defending the Earth against an alien incursion. The player commands troops in the field in a series of turn-based tactics missions and carries out the research and development of new technologies based on captured alien technology.
