Tips and Strategies
Unlocking New Levels
Diamonds are the key to unlocking new sections of the game; they’re scattered throughout the castle and levels. Some are difficult to reach, but it’s important to collect as many as you can.

If you’re having difficulty finding enough to progress, it’s possible to replay levels you’ve already completed to boost your diamond count. Even so, there are far more diamonds hidden in the level than are needed to complete the game.
Collecting Items
Be on the lookout for treasure chests for extra gems and goodies, including extra lives. They’re often well hidden, so make sure you explore every inch of every level to find them. Pick up as many different objects as you can – they’re useful for throwing at enemies.
Extra Lives
Extra lives come in the form of stars, and can be collected throughout the game. If you’re low on lives, it’s worth going back to the Castle and check upstairs on the writing desk. Every so often, you’ll find a free extra life.
Jump or Throw?
They're the two main methods for getting past your enemies, but you'll need to be strategic about which you choose, and when. There are parts of the game where throwing amunition is the only option, and areas where objects to throw are hard to find. Keep up your supply of objects, and jump where you can.
Jump Smart
You can control how high you jump by how long you hold down on the jump button. Tapping yields a lower hop, which makes it easier to gauge your landing - useful when battling enemies, especially when facing Mizrabel. Higher jumps can reward you with hidden treasure. You can launch yourself even further if you hold down just before you land on your enemy. Jumping on consecutive enemies gets extra points, too.

Keep an eye on your Shadow
Mickey's shadow can prove useful, sometimes, especially when trying to land on difficult objects, jumping very high, or dodging attacks from bosses, especially with your final battle with Mizrabel. Use your shadow as a guide for a safe landing.
Defeating Enemies
Observe enemies to see how they behave first before jumping on them, or you could end up doing yourself damage. For example, if you jump on a green ghost, you can bounce higher, but if you try to jump on a red ghost it will move out of the way, and could lose you a life.
Each boss must be defeated differently, but only jump on their heads when they’re dizzy, or you’ll take damage.
