Matt Ryan is a stage and television actor. Born in Swansea, Wales, as a child he appeared in the West End production of Les Misérables as Gavroche. He later attended Gorseinon College, where he completed a BTEC Performing Arts course, and then graduated from the Bristol Old Vic in 2003 and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2004.
He is best known for his role as Mick Rawson on Criminal Minds spinoff series, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, and as the Welsh pirate Edward Kenway.
