Mario Kart 8 is shaping up to be fast, furious, and beautiful. Nintendo has released a batch of new trailers and information about the game as it begins to huddle up at the starting line before releasing on May 30th.
The standout trailer titled New Courses and Items shows an array of gorgeous sights which you'll be skimming through in anti-gravity mode. New items include the Piranha Plant which is placed in front of your cart and chomps on your competitors as you race past. Also, a new throwable Boomerang item will be at your disposal. In terms of courses, two new Rainbow Roads have been confirmed. Game Informer provided a rundown of the new tracks journalists were given access to in a recent demo:
