Platinum Games, the developer best known for action titles Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, are taking their action gaming talents to Republic City. A downloadable The Legend of Korra title is in the works, to be published by Activision.
The teaser shows the titular character, Korra, fighting dark spirits using a combination of firebending, earthbending, waterbending, and airbending abilities. As the Avatar, she is the bridge between the human and spirit worlds and is capable of controlling all four elements. The game will be set between the second and third seasons of the television series, and the game's script is being overseen by Tim Hendrick, a writer for the show. You can vote for the official packaging for the game at the Legend of Korra Facebook page. The game will be available digitally for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC this Fall.
Also announced was a strategy role-playing The Legend of Korra game for the Nintendo 3DS, which is being developed by Webfoot Technologies. Webfoot's most notable releases include the Dragonball Z: Legacy of Goku games for the Game Boy Advance.
The Legend of Korra television series begins its third season this Friday at 7pm EST on Nickelodeon.
