Halo 5 Allows Players to Disable Abilities Like Sprinting

343 Industries has revealed that it has taken player feedback from the Halo 5 Beta last Christmas and will grant players the ability to disable certain features, like the new sprint ability, in custom games.

In an interview with Eurogamer, 343 Studio Head Josh Holmes explained that he believes Halo has always provided options to players, saying: "One of the things Halo has historically done a great job of is providing options to players, letting players customise their experience. It's in keeping with that legacy."

What comes to light in the interview is the extensive feedback program 343 runs. As part of this process the company found that nearly 11% of players felt that Halo should not have sprint.

Along with giving players the ability to turn off sprint, 343 will also grant players control over other Spartan abilities, like ground pound and Spartan charge.

The interview is long, but offers fantastic insight into the development decisions 343 are making for the next iteration of Halo, so it's well worth a read if you're a Halo fan.

Halo 5: Guardians is slated for launch sometime in 2015, exclusively for the Xbox One.
