The Varia Suit is a recurring Power Suit upgrade in the Metroid series. Samus is often seen wearing the Varia Suit, but in many games it is lost at or prior to the beginning of the game along with most of Samus' other upgrades. In Metroid Prime, collecting the Varia Suit will grant a 10% damage reduction, as well as protection from the extreme heat of the Magmoor Caverns. It is located in a room in the Chozo Ruins called the Sunchamber, and it can be obtained only by defeating Flaahgra.
