Valus is known as the Minotaur and he is the first of the sixteen Colossi that Wander encounters in the game. He is featured on the box cover.
Location
Head south of the Shrine of Worship, until you reach a large cliff face. climb up the various paths, the game will make you use a lot fo the techniques to climb and defeat a colossi while climbing this cliff. At the top is Valus.
Defeat
Valus is an ignorant Colossi, he often doesn't notice you until you get to close which he then starts swinging his club and stomping. If you whistle or shoot arrows at him he will turn around and attack you. A more difficult way to get on him is to jump on his club when he swings at you and hits the ground, but an easier way is just to climb on his legs and start stabbing it. Eventually he will fall which then you can crawl up his leg and get on his back. Keep going and make your way to his head that's where his weakpoint is, if your on hard mode there's another sigil on his right tricep.
