The Support Class is the muscle of Battlefield. They are normally armed with LMG's and can use explosives such as C4, Claymores, and even Mortars. They also possess an ammo pack to use to refill their ammo and the entire teams ammo if need be.
The LMG's the Support Class uses are big and bulky, which makes them slow while sprinting, but when firing their gun, they sure do suppress the enemy team the best out of all other classes. These guys are either in the middle of the fight, or a little bit back posted up with their LMG w/a bipod to give covering fire to their teammates pushing forward. The most useful thing for the LMG is a bipod becuase it allows the gunner to have extremely good accuracy (reticle is tiny) and almost no recoil on the gun; the only downside to that is you have to remain perfectly still with the bipod set up.
The Support Class can also be a very useful demolitions player. With 4-6 C4 (if you have the EXPL/SQD EXPL you get 6 C4 instead of 4) the player can take down tanks, LAV's, BMP's, buildings, etc. As for Claymores, they're very useful for covinrg your back if you're the lone
wolf kind of person and like to play alone.
