Grand Theft Auto Online is an online multiplayer world that will encompass everything available in the single-player, while also delivering loads of content unique to the multiplayer. It is free to everyone who purchases Grand Theft Auto V, but it will not be available until October 1.
Character Creation
Upon first starting GTA Online, players will be tasked with creating their online persona. They begin by choosing their parents and even grandparents, then their own character's appearance will be based on them. The Collector's Edition will offer special parents, such as Niko Bellic from Grand Theft Auto IV, and even Claude from Grand Theft Auto III.
The customization extends far beyond that, though, as your multiplayer character will live out life when you're not playing, similar to the three main characters in GTA V. You will be able to choose how your character lives their life, such as making them a criminal, or even someone that goes to the gym often.
