There isn't really much in this village, although there's a lot of crows. Enter the house on the left and get the ROUGH EMERALD from the chest at the top of the stairs. The house on the right has another chest, with a HEALING TONIC inside. In the middle, there's a path you can use to reach another section of the village.
There are a few houses here, but nothing's in them, so don't bother. To the left of the well is someone crying, so go up and talk to him. His name is Finn and his people have been turned into birds. The only way to cure them is with the Water of Lethe in the well, so head down there and Finn will join your party.
Finn is a magic user, with his three skill trees delving into one of three elements. It might be best to equip attack slots with lightning and defense with water, as the spiders here use ice attacks. On the way down, you'll see an Oculi chest in the wall, which has a ROUGH SAPPHIRE in it. In the bottom right corner, there's another with a ROUGH EMERALD, as well as a chest with another ROUGH EMERALD.
Right where you dropped into the open area, there's another path to the left that goes up. There's a switch in the ceiling that stops the spikes for a few seconds, but it's possible to get by without using it. For your troubles, you'll be able to grab a HP STARDUST. There's another path to the right, as well, leading to a chest with a ROUGH RUBY. Continue left and find the gap in the floor for an Oculi chest (2 LULL ELIXERS) and an ordinary chest (ROUGH SAPPHIRE).
To the left is a door that you can't open under normal circumstances. Remember the door in the tree, where you have to shine Igniculus under the pedestals and line up the colors? This is similar, but with shapes. With the door open, go inside to the next area. Go past the spikes and up at the first opportunity for two chests (ROUGH SAPPHIRE and 2 QUICKEN ELIXERS).
Go down and there's a dark area off to your left, with an Oculi chest (TUMBLED SAPPHIRE) down further and to the right. In the same area, go left for another chest with a ROUGH SAPPHIRE. Go back and you'll be in a big open area, so talk to the bird on the statue head for some short conversation. At the top, towards the left side, you can find a MAGIC STARDUST and at the very top is Confession #3.
Now, go to the bottom of the big area and slowly go right until you can spot the Oculi chest in the rock (HEALING TONIC). There's also a chest to the right with 2 FIREFLY ELIXERS. Up above is a path that leads east, where you can disable the spikes, and it leads to a boss.

With the battle won, the curse will be lifted on Finn's people, turning them back to normal. You'll be transported out of the cave and back to the village. There are two sidequests you can get now, one from the second area of the village and one from the first area; look for the "!" above the heads. To progress with the story, in the second area of town, head west and you'll be stopped by Finn.
As it turns out, he was kicked out by his father, so he decides to tag along with you for good. Note that the archer enemy in this area can counterattack physical attacks, so be careful. There's a chest (HEALING TONIC) underneath where the archer enemy was, as well as one in the trees above (2 ROUGH EMERALDS).
You'll see gusts of wind coming from the ground, which stop for a few seconds then start again. Get past the first one, then go into the hole with the second one. There are two Oculi chests here, one with a HEALING TONIC and the other having 2 REVIVES. Go through the door and you'll be faced with a puzzle room.
The way to the right is blocked by a door, so you'll have to go left. The only problem is that there's constant wind coming towards you and you have to get pass some moving spears. Move very carefully past two sets, then go down and you'll be going with the wind this time. When you get past the second set here, go up into the little alcove and open a chest for a ROUGH SAPPHIRE.
Here is where the puzzle part comes in, with the wind blowing horizontally, as well as vertically. Hit the Oculi switch to drop a box, then drag it down to the bottom level. You will need to be careful here, as you need to push it to the left and onto a switch, but if it gets caught in the updraft, you'll have to get it back down here again. With the switch pressed, go up and you'll see four treasures waiting for you, a MAGIC STARDUST, a ROUGH RUBY, 2 ROUGH RUBIES and 2 ANTIDOTES.
Pull the switch and leave the way you came. If you go left of the Oculi chest you opened before, you'll find a chest with 2 ROUGH SAPPHIRES in it. Go up here to the corner and you should be able to grab the chest with Igniculus (2 ROUGH RUBIES). Dash through the on/off wind tunnel, grabbing the MAGIC DEFENSE STARDUST in the first alcove, then go up into a clear area.
If you didn't open the chest before with Igniculus, you can go right here to grab it. Also, head upwards and you'll find Confession #6 flying around, but be careful of the strong winds up there (there is a chest to the right with a ROUGH RUBY if you ride the strong winds). Continue left through the tunnel, riding the updraft to find another MAGIC DEFENSE STARDUST. Exit the tunnel to the left and enter the Plains of Rambert, starting the next chapter.
