Hideki Kamiya's tweets are often memorable but his reaction to the review scores for The Wonderful 101 is the stuff of legend. When asked how he felt about the mixed reviews about the game, his reaction was - word for word - as follows:
Score, score, score, score, score, score, score, score, score, score, score... Get rid of fucking score thing & just believe yourself !!
Like a boss. So, while The Wonderful 101 may have had mixed reviews so far (ranging from a 6/10 in the UK's EDGE magazine to 8/10 from Gamespot), Kamiya doesn't seem to mind. In fact, he even seems to take potshots at those gamers who think that anything less than a Perfect 10TM is a bad score, underlining that "79% on Metacritic is good." In an age where some developers will get upset if their game is rated as anything less than perfect, it's nice to see one who can appreciate a positive score simply for being a positive score and be happy with it.
Kamiya-san, this is why we love you.
