So the next title update is looking due to hit the internet later tonight (3.2.2014), and will add support for 7.1 surround sound headsets, which means the Pulse and Pulse Elite will finally be compatible with the system.
To coincide with this announcement Sony have reveled their new 'Gold' wireless headset that is due out on the 10th February in the UK for definite and most likely worldwide, although that is yet to be confirmed.
With a price tag of $99/£79 indicating the quality of the product, it seems this nice bit of tech could be perfect for your gaming needs. Furthermore it's compatibility extends not only to the PS4 but the PS3 and PC, while also including a 3.5mm cable that can be connected to your PSVita and a large majority of mobile devices.
A companion app will also be available, for what I believe to be the first of its kind. Allowing game developers to create specific audio modes for the headset that compliments the games that they have created. The first official game to use this feature will be Infamous: Second Son.
