The Great Grey Wolf Sif is the giant wolf that watches over Artorias' grave in Dark Souls. Found through the great doors at the back of Darkroot Garden, after passing through the forest of the Forest Hunters, he can be reached either by passsing the Hydra in Darkroot Basin or buying the Crest of Artorias to open the shortcut in Darkroot Garden.
Once the traveling companion of Artorias during their quest to save Oolacile from the Abyss, Artorias protected Sif from being overcome by the Abyss by shielding him with his Cleansing Greatshield.
