King K. Rool is a character from the Donkey Kong Country series and is the main antagonist in several games. He is the leader of the Kremling race and head of the Kremling Crew, as well as the arch-nemesis of Donkey Kong. His name is a pun on the world, cruel, describing his personality and actions.
King K. Rool first appeared in Donkey Kong Country. He then appeared in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest as Kaptain K. Rool, and later in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! under the moniker of Baron K. Roolenstein. He has repeatedly stolen Donkey Kong's Banana Horde and has even kidnapped members of the Kong family. In Donkey Kong 64, King K. Rool planned to blow up Donkey Kong Island altogether with a weapon called the Blast-O-Matic before his plan went awry.
